Santa’s A Scotsman is an uplifting Christmas song that got to number 1 in the charts in 2006. When I say the charts I mean the HMV digital chart and when I say number 1 – it was at number 1 for about 25 minutes.
According to the wonderful Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2, Santa’s A Scotsman contains the best rhyming couplet in pop history.
“Santa’s A Scotsman, come on make a fuss, too many pies not enough exercise, of course he’s one of us”
We usually sell a few copies every year and last year I think we sold 27, taking the number of CDs in my basement from 4932 to 4905.
