A Funny Kind Of World

Are you sure you can say that?

Continuing our highly successful ‘Funny Kind of..’ series, this run of four programmes for BBC Radio Scotland examines the fine line between comedy and offence.

Is it OK to “do the accent”? Can we talk about religion critically or even flippantly?

In these programmes people from a wide range of backgrounds, beliefs and parts of the world share their experiences and opinions on some of the most sensitive subjects in the world today, before detailing the real story behind the punchlines.

Some jokes change lives for the better, whilst if taken out of context can be disastrous and even life threatening..

Featuring Tommy Tiernan, Dana Alexander, Tez Ilyas, Sameena Zehra, Jamali Maddix, Ro Campbell, Athena Kugblenu, Yuriko Kotani, Sindu Vee, Masud Milas, Brendon Burns, Des Bishop, Terry Alderton, Marcel Lucont, Loyiso Gola and Nazeem Hussain.

Hosted by Julia Sutherland.
