The John Moloney Show
The Godfather of British Standup
Series Three begins August on BBC Radio 4
Deliberate, weighted and poised. The three words that come closest to describing the flawless culmination of twenty years on the stand up circuit.
John Moloney perhaps isn’t so much the godfather of observational comedy, more its zenith; its nirvana in a suit. Dabster are very proud to be the company that have worked with John for over five years and lucky enough to bring his expertly honed material to the widest possible audience on BBC Radio 4.
Hyperbole or not, he is genuinely revered in the comedy world for his comedic timing and presence on stage. A seemingly mundane trip to the vet becomes a tense battle of wits; his internalised philosophic argument with a group of ladies is one that each of us would have, were we as sharp as Mr Moloney.
The John Moloney Show is his first solo show for the BBC, and will return to the airwaves in a third series with more from the nation’s least known favourite.
Series One was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in May 2015. The series has received great reviews from The Observer, The Radio Times and has received selfless support from the four corners of the comedy community.
John lives and works in Balham, London. He runs the Balham Comedy Festival and is a regular at the Comedy Store and the top end of the national comedy circuit.
