Dabster were delighted to deliver the Radio and Comedy workshops at the Radio 1 Academy in Glasgow.

Radio 1 is an institution like no other, on air since 1967 and revered worldwide as a powerhouse of broadcasting. With 2014 being Glasgow’s year, it was essential that Radio 1’s ever burgeoning Big Weekend roadshow make an appearance. In addition to the much hyped dance event in George Square and two day music festival at Glasgow Green, Radio 1’s Academy also rolled into town.

Starting in Hackney in 2012 Radio 1’s Academy is a week of workshops, events, and Q+As designed to grab your interests by the scruff of the neck and give you the tools and info you need to Take It On to the next level.

Here at Dabster Productions, we were lucky to be invited, along with Richard Branson, Kevin Bridges and Emeli Sandé, to deliver the Radio and Comedy workshops. It was amazing to work with Scott Mills, Edith Bowman, Ally McCrae and Example among others and a real honour to lend a hand to the next generation of up and coming talent.
