The summer of 2014 is set to be gargantuan! Radio GoNorth followed by The Commonwealth Games and Festival 2014 on our doorstep, not to mention Dabster’s usual foray into the Edinburgh Fringe.
But before all that, the Radio 1 Big Weekend circus rolls into town. Aside from reaching for the lasers in George Square to the doof of Tiesto and Martin Garrix, R1BW also comes with some top-notch training opportunities courtesy of the Radio 1 Academy.
In 2014 the Radio 1 Academy will take place in Glasgow from 10th-16th May at Queen Margaret Union. Emeli Sande, Rita Ora, Biffy Clyro, Sir Richard Branson, Kevin Bridges, Example, Katy B, Hudson Mohawke, Nina Nesbitt and many more will be there along with Radio 1 DJs including Fearne Cotton, Scott Mills, Greg James, Charlie Sloth, Huw Stephens, Ally McCrae, and Dan & Phil to encourage and inspire you to take it on!
The Radio 1 Academy is a place to share ideas, shout about your interests, and get some industry standard advice and experience on what’s really making you excited.
Given our love for all things radio, we were obviously delighted when Radio 1 Academy asked us if we’d like to deliver some of the workshops. You can catch us at the following Radio and Comedy sessions in the QMU, Glasgow:
