Amnesty's Secret Comedy Podcast

Continuing a great tradition

One of the world’s most prominent charities has been working with Dabster Productions to engage new audiences and raise awareness for human rights and freedom of expression.

Extending the ‘Secret Policeman’ brand instigated by John Cleese, Peter Luff and Martin Lewis, the Secret Comedy Podcasts have been a roaring success for Amnesty International. The series has progressed from magazine style podcasts in 2010 to full live shows hosted by the very best comedians in front of sell out crowds at the Edinburgh Festival.

Alan Davies, Julian Clary, Adam Hills, Ed Byrne, John Moloney and Jo Caulfield all took to the stage in 2013 to interview and introduce the most talented comedians from the Fringe. Podcasts from the live shows maintained a top five position in the iTunes charts, conveying Amnesty’s core message to a new young demographic, whilst reinforcing the brand to familiar consumers with syndication from Guardian.co.uk

To listen to the podcasts you can subscribe via iTunes or via Amnesty International’s Soundcloud page.
