Creative Loop
Introducing Students to Industry
Creative Loop is an organization that provides training, support and resources to the media students of Scotland and strives to bridge the gap between Higher Education and Industry. Dabster Productions has provided some of Creative Loop’s key objectives over the last three years online, on paper and in person, helping to develop the producers and directors of the future.
Dabster has worked closely with Creative Loop year on year to program the Creative Loop Student Media Festival, bringing the Scottish media industry face to face with the students of Scotland. With busy lecture theatres and workshops, we complement the live event with comprehensive audio coverage. Interviews with guest speakers are podcasted and syndicated alongside recordings of sessions and Creative Scotland Award nominees and winners.
We have also delivered training for Creative Loop, lecturing in radio to students across the country and producing bespoke training courses for external implementation.
The Creative Loop website was designed and written by Dabster, and continues to be the main point of contact in both directions for the organisation. We look forward to working with Creative Loop into the future with the Host Broadcaster Training Initiative (HBTI) in preparation for the Commonwealth Games 2014.
The podcasts were presented by Julia Sutherland and Al Lorraine, and feature a long list of presenters, producers, directors, commissioning editors from the BBC, commercial broadcasting and the independent sector.
